The Arkansas Real Estate Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 8:45 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 in the Meeting Room of the Arkansas Real Estate Commission building, 612 South Summit Street, Little Rock, Arkansas for the purpose of receiving public or written comment on the adoption of a proposed amendment to existing Commission regulation 11.5 pertaining to the post-license education requirements for new real estate salespersons and brokers. The summary of the amendment is as follows:
Currently, post-license education requirements of eighteen (18) classroom hours for new salespersons and thirty (30) classroom hours for new brokers must be completed within one (1) year following the date each respective license type is first issued. This proposed amendment will shorten the required completion time to six (6) months. The purpose of the amendment is to expedite the process of educating new licensees with the overall objective of improving consumer protection.”
